The IIE Vega, Durban Campushas a vacancy for a Part-Time Lecturer in Open Source Coding for second semester of the 2025 academic year.
Competencies Required:
Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Passion for customer service
Demonstrated ability to manage work and self proactively
Organisational and time management skills
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Ideal – Honours degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science or
Honours degree in similarly related fields with programming or a similarly related field to the third year level.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
Lecturing experience in programming
Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/programmer
Working Conditions:
Please note that this is an Independent Contractor (part-time) role
Working Hours:
Lectures take place Monday to Friday: 08:00
-17: 30 – specific days and times depend on the timetable for the specific module(s)
Salary:
Hourly rate commensurate with experience and hours worked.
