Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dependable Lead Driver/Mover to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will lead moving operations, ensure safe and efficient transportation, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your expertise in commercial driving, loading/unloading, warehouse procedures, and customer service will drive our success as you talk, lead in load & unload activities, and maintain compliance with all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to take charge of moving projects while supporting a collaborative team environment.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate moving operations, including packing, loading, and unloading items with precision and care
- Drive box trucks or company vehicles for delivery, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers or job sites
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and manual handling tools to facilitate safe loading and unloading
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and safe lifting practices during all driving and manual handling tasks
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during delivery or pickup appointments
- Manage route driving efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or moving services with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks preferred
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations including DOT compliance and weight handling in the workplace
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures, material handling equipment operation, and safe lifting practices
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating routes, safety instructions, and customer interactions
- Physical ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks throughout the workday
