Full Job Description
We are seeking a detailed-oriented, organized, and experienced Laundry Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laundry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality control, and upholding health and safety standards.
This role requires strong leadership, time management skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations Management- Oversee daily laundry operations (washing, drying, ironing, and folding). Ensure timely and efficient processing of laundry. Maintain quality standards for cleanliness and presentation.
Team Supervision- Train, schedule, and supervise laundry staff. Monitor employee performance and ensure adherence to company policies. Resolve staff issues and foster a positive work environment.
Inventory & Supplies- Monitor and order laundry supplies, detergents, and equipment parts. Manage linen stock levels and reduce losses or damage. Conduct regular inventory checks.
Equipment Maintenance- Ensure proper functioning of all laundry machinery. Schedule routine maintenance and co-ordinate repairs as needed.
Customer Service and Co-ordination- Communicate with internal departments or external clients regarding laundry services. Address and resolve complaints or service issues professionally.
Compliance and Safety- Enforce safety protocols and hygiene standards. Ensure staff are trained in proper handling of chemicals and machinery.
Reporting and Administration- Prepare operational reports and staff schedules. Maintain records of laundry volume, costs, and inventory usage.
Requirements
Education & Experience- High school diploma or equivalent (a diploma/degree in hospitality or management is an asset)
2-5 years of experience in a laundry or housekeeping environment.
Prior supervisory or management experience is preferred.
Strong leadership and Management skills.
Good organizational and Time management abilities.
Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and chemicals.
Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Basic budgeting and inventory control knowledge.
Proficiency in recordkeeping and reporting.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Problem solving ability and attention to detail.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday- 07h00 to 16h30.
Every alternate Saturday.
