We are seeking an experienced Landscape Technician Foreman to lead a crew while performing high-quality landscape construction and maintenance services. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys mentoring others, and is committed to delivering exceptional results.

Position Summary

The Landscape Technician Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, leading a crew of landscape technicians, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Greenleaf’s quality standards. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with strong landscape knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve problems in the field while maintaining a positive attitude.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a landscape crew while working alongside team members.
  • Plan and coordinate daily job tasks to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure all work meets Greenleaf Landscape Management’s quality standards.
  • Read and interpret landscape plans, installation details, and work orders.
  • Perform landscape construction including planting, grading, drainage systems, irrigation installation and repair, sod installation, mulch, decorative rock, edging, patios, retaining walls, and other hardscape features.
  • Perform commercial and residential landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, weed control, seasonal cleanups, and irrigation service.
  • Operate skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, compact equipment, and other landscape machinery safely.
  • Train, motivate, and develop crew members while maintaining accountability and productivity.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure proper maintenance of trucks, trailers, and tools.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and office staff regarding project progress and field conditions.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, time records, and material usage.
  • Identify and resolve jobsite issues while maintaining project schedules.
  • Enforce company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Represent Greenleaf Landscape Management professionally with every customer interaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional landscape experience.
  • Previous crew leader or foreman experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction, maintenance, irrigation, and drainage.
  • Experience operating commercial landscape equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to read landscape plans and follow project specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while making sound decisions.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus).
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Preferred Experience

  • Hardscape installation (pavers, retaining walls, natural stone)
  • Irrigation troubleshooting and repair
  • Drainage system installation
  • Plant identification and proper installation techniques
  • Equipment operation (skid steer, mini excavator, loader)
  • Snow removal equipment operation (seasonal)

Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
