Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces! In this energetic position, you will assist with landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and the installation of various landscaping features. Your hands-on work will help transform outdoor environments into vibrant, functional, and aesthetically pleasing areas. Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and watering to ensure healthy and attractive grounds
- Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Support the installation of hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to support proper care and landscape design
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and injuries
- Perform routine groundskeeping duties such as debris removal, soil preparation, pest management (including pesticide application), and general site cleanup
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, tree trimming, and plant identification, snow plowing.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape equipment safely
- Strong attention to safety protocol adherence at all times during outdoor activities
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, standing for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Passion for horticulture, gardening, lawn care, and groundskeeping with a desire to learn new skills
