Job Summary
The Laminator & Veneer Application Specialist is responsible for applying plastic laminate, wood veneer, and other surfacing materials to cabinets, panels, doors, countertops, and millwork. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong focus on quality craftsmanship.
Essential Responsibilities
- Read and follow shop drawings, work orders, and material specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut, and prepare laminate and veneer materials for application while achieving the best yield.
- Prepare substrates by cleaning, sanding, filling, and otherwise ensuring surfaces are suitable for application.
- Apply adhesives and accurately position laminate and veneer materials.
- Trim, sand, and finish applied materials to produce clean, professional edges.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Inspect finished work for proper adhesion, alignment, appearance, and quality.
- Correct or report defects and quality issues as needed.
- Handle materials and completed components carefully to prevent damage.
- Communicate material shortages, damaged materials, and production issues to the Shop Foreman or Shop Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and required PPE procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience with laminate, veneer, cabinetmaking, millwork, or woodworking preferred.
- Ability to accurately read measurements and shop drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, kneel, and move throughout the shop.
- Ability to lift and handle sheets of laminate, veneer, plywood, MDF, and finished components.
- Ability to work safely around wood dust, noise, adhesives, and other shop materials while using required PPE.

We have fulfilled our goal of becoming AWI certified and have recently moved to a larger 25,000 square foot production facility. Ultimately, we want to provide our team with the best work environment possible and provide our customers with high quality cabinetry while maintaining exceptional service.
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
