Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Laboratory Team in ensuring daily lab operations comply with ISO 9001:2015 QMS and SHEQ regulations.
Conduct routine laboratory activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to testing protocols.
Assist with updating and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
Prepare and send out samples as per customer requirements; assist in tracking feedback and result documentation.
Monitor laboratory stock levels and expiry dates of samples and materials; coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
Conduct hands-on testing of raw materials for quality verification and assist with product development trials.
Assist in formulation adjustments and colour matching under the direction of senior technical staff.
Collaborate with production and technical teams to troubleshoot formulation or application issues.
Record, investigate, and escalate product-related customer complaints and contribute to technical reports under the guidance of the Industry Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
National Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, or related field.
3+ years’ experience in a coatings or chemical laboratory environment.
Strong attention to detail and a solid foundation in lab techniques and procedures.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate records.
Strong teamwork skills with some leadership exposure preferred.
Clear medical and criminal record.
