Are you a skilled technician with a passion for renewable energy and solar technology? We’re looking for a Lab Technician to join our dynamic technical team in Dar es Salaam and play a critical role in supporting hardware testing, firmware updates, and battery maintenance for cutting-edge solar products.
Key Responsibilities:
Test and fault-find returned solar equipment
Conduct firmware updates and simulated product tests
Maintain and charge battery stock; track charge cycles
Prepare detailed reports on product faults and root cause analysis
Collaborate with technical team members and support ongoing QA processes
Organize, label, and shelve returned hardware stock
Maintain lab equipment and ensure a safe and clean working environment
Qualification and
Experience:
3-year qualification (National Diploma, BTech, or BEng) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Minimum3 years’ experience in PV installation or technical support
Strong knowledge of solar technology and lithium-ion battery storage
Hands-on experience in testing and repairing solar products
Proficient in English and Swahili; computer literate
Familiar with key products like KODAK, Pylontech, and Victron
