Dynamic KS2 Learning Support Assistant – Full‑Time, Long‑Term – Immediate Start

A lively, community‑centred East London primary school with a reputation for high standards, exceptional pastoral care and a warm, inclusive ethos is searching for a KS2 Learning Support Assistant to join their vibrant team. This school champions creativity, resilience and academic ambition – and they’re looking for someone who can match that energy in the classroom.

This is a full‑time, long‑term role starting ASAP, supporting pupils across KS2 and working closely with teachers to deliver engaging, structured and inspiring learning.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering targeted support to KS2 pupils through small‑group and 1:1 interventions
  • Supporting learners with mild to moderate SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH)
  • Helping shape engaging lessons, organise resources and maintain smooth classroom routines
  • Boosting pupils’ confidence in reading, writing, maths and problem‑solving
  • Encouraging independence, curiosity and positive learning habits
  • Maintaining a calm, inclusive and motivating classroom environment
  • Upholding safeguarding standards and communicating effectively with staff and families

What You’ll Bring

  • KS2 classroom experience is essential
  • Some SEN experience within a primary setting
  • A degree is highly desirable, especially in education or a related field
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong communication skills, patience and a proactive, can‑do attitude
  • Commitment to a long‑term, full‑time role starting immediately
  • Professionalism, reliability and confidence in a busy, fast‑paced school

Pay

£100-£110 per day DOE
