Role Overview
We are a wholesale and distribution company based in Century City, Cape Town, South Africa, looking for a Junior UI/UX Designer/Graphic Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a creative individual with a strong eye for design who can balance both user experience (UI/UX) and graphic design for digital marketing. The candidate will help improve our website’s functionality, create visually appealing elements, and design promotional materials for our online presence.
This position requires someone with reliable transport to commute to our office in Century City.
Key Responsibilities
UI/UX Design:
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and UI elements for our website.
Enhance the user experience across various web pages and platforms.
Ensure brand consistency across all web designs.
Collaborate with developers to bring designs to life.
Graphic Design for Website Promotion:
Design banners, landing pages, email graphics, and social media visuals for promotions.
Create illustrations, icons, and marketing assets to support sales campaigns.
Work within our wholesale & distribution branding guidelines to maintain a cohesive brand image.
General Website Elements & Optimization:
Optimize images and design elements for faster load times and improved web performance.
Ensure all designs are responsive and work across different screen sizes.
Work with the marketing team to improve conversion-focused designs for sales pages.
Collaboration & Feedback:
Work closely with marketing, sales, and development teams to align design with business goals.
Gather user feedback and make improvements based on insights.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative ideas for digital campaigns.
Requirements
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and modern design trends.
A portfolio showcasing web/UI design and promotional graphics.
Attention to detail and ability to work within branding guidelines.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable transport to commute to our office in Century City.
Nice to Have
Experience in motion graphics or video editing.
Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS to understand web design implementation.
Previous experience working on e-commerce, wholesale, or distribution-related websites.
