The Junior Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine in managing the kitchen and ensuring that the highest culinary standards are consistently delivered. This position requires strongleadershipabilities, creativity, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Key responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, ensuringfood safetyand hygiene standards are maintained, and participating in menu planning and development. You will also assist in the training of junior kitchen staff and contribute toinventory managementand procurement of kitchen supplies.

You should possess excellent cooking skills, a good understanding ofkitchen operations, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining apositive attitude. This role provides an opportunity for growth within the culinary team at Oubaai Hotel, Golf and Spa.

Requirements

Relevant culinary qualifications from a recognized institution.

Minimum of 4 years experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Comprehensive knowledge ofkitchen operations, food preparation, and safety standards.

Strongleadershipand team management skills.

Ability to create and present culinary dishes to a high standard.

Excellentcommunicationand interpersonal skills.

Willingness to workflexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Passion for culinary arts and a drive forcontinuous improvement.
