This is an on-site SAP ABAP Developer role to work as part of an experienced team of SAP certified professionals on client SAP projects.
Responsibilities
The SAP ABAP Developer will be involved in building, testing, and supporting SAP applications and enhancements using ABAP technologies. The role works with functional consultants to translate business requirements into reliable, secure, and performant technical solutions across SAP landscapes.
Key strengths should include hands-on development expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to write clear technical documentation and the ability to work in project environments.
The role includes the following key responsibilities:
· Develop and enhance SAP solutions using ABAP and Core Data Services in line with functional and technical specifications.
· Build and maintain custom objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
· Implement user exits, BAdIs, enhancements, implicit/explicit enhancement points, and custom logic as required.
· Support data loads and conversions using SAP tools.
· Assist with data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and post-load issue resolution.
· Perform unit testing, support integration testing, stress testing and UAT, and ensure robust defect management and resolution.
· Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with internal development standards.
· Ensure documentation and traceability are maintained.
· Produce technical specifications aligned to functional requirement specifications.
· Provide post go-live production support, root-cause analysis, and bug fixes.
Qualifications
· B.com Information Systems or BSc Computer Science or equivalent.
· SAP experience would be advantageous.
· SAP certification(s) would be nice-to-have.
