As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and organized Junior Restaurant Manager to support both our front-of-house operations and back-end administration.
Position Overview:
The Junior Restaurant Manager will play a dual role, helping manage day-to-day restaurant floor operations while also supporting administrative and back-office functions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take on both leadership and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Front-of-House Operations:
Supervise and support front-of-house staff during service
Ensure excellent customer service and resolve guest issues promptly
Oversee table flow, reservations, and seating coordination
Assist with training new staff and managing performance on the floor
Support with opening, closing, and stock-check procedures
Back-End Administrative Work:
Assist with preparing and updating staff schedules and timesheets
Compile and submit daily sales and shift reports
Manage filing, data entry, and communication with suppliers
Track stock usage and assist with placing orders
Help process and organize invoices, delivery notes, and expense slips
Liaise with HR and accounting when needed for payroll and documentation
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a restaurant supervisory or junior management role
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
Competent with Microsoft Excel, Word, and general admin processes
Experience with POS systems and back-office software a plus
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Valid South African ID or work permit.
