Full Job Description
FIT / Junior Travel Consultant (entry level)
Role: To organize travel arrangements from start to finish. Checking availability, booking services, working closely with the Travel Agent, liaising with clients, manage quotes and liaise with suppliers.
Required Competencies
Matric – Grade 12
An understanding of word, excel and basic computer network systems
Strong computer literacy
Attention to detail and organized
Ability to work under pressure
Team player – working with others independently to attain both individual and team objectives
Effective written communications skills / Good spelling and grammar skills
Time management skills
Ability to multitask
Resourceful attitude
Product Knowledge Development
Continuously enhance your knowledge of South African travel products and tour routes through
On-the-job learning
Attending roadshows and industry events
Conducting personal product research and training
Staying up to date with market trends and the competitive landscape
Key Performance Areas:
Ensure quick and accurate turnaround of travel quotes and documentation
Engage with suppliers to confirm bookings, rates, and availability
Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless on-the-ground delivery
Drive quality control for itineraries, quotes, invoices, vouchers, and travel documents
Be available for rotational 24-hour emergency support
Salary will be discussed upon interview
