The Junior Reporting Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of group management accounts, financial reports, and client-specific reporting. This role requires strong excel and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial data efficiently. The ideal candidate will support the finance team in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting on a monthly basis, while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual group management accounts.
Prepare and reconcile financial data for internal reporting purposes.
Client Reporting & Analysis:
Gather, process, and analyze financial data for client-specific reports.
Ensure accurate allocation of costs and revenues per client contracts.
Assist the Financial Managers and Group Reporting Manager in the preparation of customized reports and financial summaries for client presentations.
BBBEE Reporting
Gather supporting documents for BBBEE verification
Assist in compiling quarterly reporting
Data Management & Compliance:
Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation and financial schedules.
Maintain database of client contracts with terms and renewal dates.
Process Improvement & Support:
Support the finance team with ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience in financial reporting, management accounting, or a similar role will be advantageous
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Navision)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
