Hire Resolve is inviting applications for the role of Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team in beautiful Cape Town. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior quantity surveyors and project teams to assist in the management of costs and budgets for a variety of construction projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of quantity surveying.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
Conduct site measurements and quantity take-offs
Support in managing and reviewing project contracts and specifications
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes
Monitor project progress and provide timely updates on cost variances and risks
Compile project documentation, including proposals and variance reports
Participate in meetings with project stakeholders to discuss progress and financial status
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
2-3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying
Preferably coming from a Quantity Surveying Firm
Familiarity with quantity surveying software and tools, such as WinQS and CCS
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
