SUMMARY:
An established company is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Durban.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
POSITION INFO:
Duties and responsibilities:
- Production of order of magnitude and elemental estimates
- Production of bills of quantities
- Contract management i.e. production of variation orders, cost reports, payment certificates
- Production of final accounts
- Attendance of project meetings
- Chairing of meetings where required
- General office administration
- Liaison with design consulting team
- Liaison with client
- General and adhoc project reporting
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- National Diploma – Building
- BTech in QS would be advantageous
- At least 2 years in a professional consulting office
- Good communication skills
- Effective time management in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Technical knowledge
