Junior Quantity Surveyor – Edenvale, Gauteng
Kwandisa Construction is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at our offices in Edenvale, Gauteng.
We are a construction company involved primarily in filling station developments, retail projects, civil works and selected residential projects, with most of our work based in Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and submit construction tenders
- Measure and prepare monthly progress claims
- Prepare and assess subcontractor payment certificates
- Prepare subcontractor appointments and related documentation
- Assist with project procurement and obtaining supplier/subcontractor quotations
- Measure quantities from drawings and site information
- Assist with cost control and monitoring project expenditure
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain project cost and procurement records
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Suitable for a Junior QS / recently qualified candidate
- Good understanding of construction drawings and measurement
- Strong Excel and computer skills
- Good numerical and analytical ability
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel to construction sites within Gauteng
Experience in filling stations, retail construction or civil works would be advantageous but is not essential.
