As a Junior Project Manager, you will support the management of a portfolio of fintech and banking client projects from the ground up. You will get hands-on exposure to project delivery, business analysis, and client relationship management within the payments and fintech space, working closely with experienced team members who will help you build a strong foundation.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day portfolio administration across multiple active workstreams and deliverables.
- Track progress on work orders, invoicing, and payment status.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on workstream profitability.
- Help maintain consistent, standardized reporting and plan issuance across client engagements.
- Support daily stand-ups and team check-ins by tracking task progress and following up on outstanding items.
- Liaise with clients on routine queries, escalating complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
- Work closely with Technical Business Analysts to understand requirements, documentation, and delivery processes.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and admin documentation across all supported accounts.
- Get involved wherever needed across the team’s workload – this is a hands-on, varied role.
Qualifications
- A relevant business degree (with an interest or exposure to technology) – this is used as an indicator of interest and aptitude, not a strict prerequisite.
- Comfortable with Office/productivity systems, and quick to pick up new tools and platforms.
- Highly organised, with a natural ability to plan and structure work.
- Disciplined about follow-ups and administrative detail – nothing falls through the cracks.
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal, across internal teams and clients.
- Resilient under pressure, particularly when dealing with complex or demanding client situations.
- High attention to detail, especially around financial and reporting data.
- Able to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Discreet and trustworthy with confidential client and financial information.
- Proactive, with a genuine eagerness to learn and grow within the business.
- Basic analytical/numerical aptitude – comfortable working with numbers and data.
- Professional and composed when managing stakeholder expectations.
