Our client is a well-established property-focused organisation with a strong pipeline of ongoing projects and developments. They are known for maintaining high operational standards and fostering a collaborative, delivery-driven environment. With multiple active sites and continued growth, they are seeking to strengthen their project delivery capability by appointing an additional resource to support their expanding project team.
This role is suited to a Junior Project Manager who will play a key role in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be responsible for collating individual project plans into a consolidated master programme, tracking timelines, monitoring project costs and progress, and providing structured feedback to senior management. Additional responsibilities will include coordinating project documentation, maintaining project schedules, assisting with procurement tracking, liaising with contractors and consultants, supporting site reporting, monitoring project deliverables, maintaining risk and issue logs, and identifying potential delays before they impact project timelines. The position is based in Umhlanga, with travel required to project sites within approximately a drivable radius.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience within the built environment, as this is non-negotiable, although specific industrial project exposure is not essential. Advanced proficiency in MS Projects is required, along with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks effectively. A relevant qualification within the built environment will be strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, confidence in reporting to senior stakeholders, and a proactive, solution-driven mindset. A stable employment history demonstrating commitment and continuity in previous roles will be highly valued.
