We are seeking a detailed orientated Pricing Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional looking to establish a career in asset management. The role is responsible for the accurate and timely pricing of a broad range of portfolios, including Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) portfolios, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), pooled funds, and segregated mandates. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and an understanding of financial instruments.

Key responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely daily pricing of all portfolios and securities, following internal policies and regulatory standards.

Obtain and validate security prices from various sources, including market feeds, pricing vendors, and counterparties.

Monitor and investigate pricing discrepancies, variances, and anomalies, escalating issues where necessary.

Maintain and update pricing methodologies to align with industry best practices.

Collaborate with fund administrators, custodians, and portfolio managers to ensure pricing accuracy.

Perform quality control checks on pricing data and assist in resolving discrepancies.

Assist in audits and regulatory reviews by providing pricing documentation and explanations.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

No prior work experience required – this role is suitable for recent graduates.

Technical skills and competencies

Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy;

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an interest in learning financial data analysis tools;

Basic understanding of financial instruments, including equities, bonds, derivatives, ETFs, and alternative assets;

Willingness to learn about fund accounting principles and NAV calculations;

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;

Strong communication and problem-solving skills;

Knowledge of financial regulations in South Africa (e.g., FSCA, CISCA) is beneficial but not essential.
