We have an exciting full-time position available for a Junior Procurement and Logistics Manager at our factory in Brackenfell. In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for overseeing and optimising the company’s inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping, efficient storage, and timely replenishment of stock. This includes selecting, purchasing, and delivering raw materials and packaging.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement:
·      Research market trends and potential new suppliers.
·      Source new products, particularly raw materials.
·      Manage weekly and monthly procurement needs.
·      Monitor stock levels to request replenishment when inventory is low.
·      Contact suppliers regarding any delivery delays or issues with orders to meet quality standards.
·      Immediately report any delivery or product issues to management.
Logistics:
·      Schedule and confirm delivery dates and times with customers, distribution centres, or shops.
·      Coordinate with courier companies to confirm delivery schedules.
·      Track daily work-in-progress (WIP) reports from all courier companies to ensure timely deliveries.
·      Communicate any deviations from the delivery schedule without delay.
·      Arrange for the collection and delivery of raw materials as needed.
Factory Management:
·      Assist with the daily start-up and shutdown of factory shifts.
·      Report any operational issues immediately to the General Manager.
Requirements:
·      Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
·      A minimum of 3 years of experience in product sourcing and procurement.
·      At least 3 years of experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or retail environment.
·      A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehousing and stock control.
·      At least 3 years of experience in logistics.
·      Experience and knowledge of dried fruit and nuts is advantageous.
·      Extensive experience and knowledge of packaging materials.
·      Excellent analytical skills.
·      Proficient in Excel.

Additional Information:
·      The position is available immediately.
·      Location: Our factory in Brackenfell, Western Cape.
·      Working hours are from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of Saturday work as determined by management.
