Key Responsibilities
Lecturer
Teaching and learning of Mechanical Technology modules and all related organizational and management tasks.
Research
Furthering own qualifications (if applicable). Involvement in general research, such as publishing in accredited journals and presenting papers at conferences.
Community Engagement
Participate in or initiate community engagement projects.
Minimum Requirements
A master’s degree (NQF level
9) in Mechanical Technology or a related field (Lecturer).
A
B.Ed. honours degree or an honours degree (NQF level
8) in Mechanical Technology or a related field (Junior Lecturer).
An initial teachers’ qualification in Mechanical Technology or a related field.
At least two (2) years of applicable teaching experience in Mechanical Technology in secondary education or a relevant related field.

Registration with SACE.
At least two (2) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution in Mechanical Technology Education or a related field.
