Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with a strong background in Spring Boot to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in software development, demonstrating a solid understanding of Java and Spring Boot frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high quality software solutions that meet our business needs.
Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust applications using Spring Boot.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
· Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
· Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
· Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance development processes.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development practices.
Mandatory Skills:
· Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
· Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework.
· Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
· Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
· Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
· Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
