Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Technician to join our IT support team. The successful candidate will provide first-line technical support to our customers, assist with hardware and software maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. This is an ideal role for someone beginning their career in IT and looking to grow in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level support for IT issues via phone, email, or in-person.
Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Assist in installing and updating software and operating systems.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.
Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions.
Assist with user account management (e.g., Active Directory, Office 365).
Support routine system backups and antivirus checks.
Escalate complex issues to senior team members when necessary.
Keep up to date with technological developments and apply new knowledge where appropriate.
Essential:
Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Understanding of helpdesk systems / ticketing systems
Qualifications:
Matric
A relevant IT qualification (e.g., CompTIA A+, N+ certifications).
Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Working Conditions:
Office-based with occasional site visits as needed.
May require lifting and moving IT equipment.
Driver’s License is a requirement.

Pay: R6Â 500,00 – R8Â 000,00 per month
