About the Role
We are looking for a highly data-focused Inventory Analyst to support the verification and governance of both asset and consignment stock across our retail network. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy of stock files through robust scheduling, monitoring, investigation, and reconciliation of onboard inventories.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, improve data integrity, and strengthen inventory controls. This is a hands-on, Excel-heavy role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets and uncovering insights that drive better decision-making. There may be occasions where working outside of normal hours is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Systematically schedule stock takes in line with the company risk strategy, ensuring appropriate frequency and coverage
- Investigate and process ship stock files once physical counts are received
- Monitor inventory metrics and escalate issues that exceed agreed thresholds
- Communicate discrepancies and agree corrective actions with ship leadership teams
- Process inventory adjustments to ensure stock records remain accurate and up to date
- Communicate stock take results to relevant stakeholders and ensure all documentation is updated promptly
- Reconcile consignment stock vendor accounts, liaising with internal teams and external partners
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and ways of working
- Analyse data trends and present clear, insightful findings to support decision-making and influence stakeholders
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Inventory Control Manager
Essential Skills & Experience
- Advanced Excel capability – confident with large datasets, complex formulas, pivot tables, and reconciliations
- Strong data accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Quick to learn new systems and tools
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong planning and organisational skills
