KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
RECRUITMENT
Drafting job adverts for review by the HR Manager and Line Manager
Posting job adverts internally, and on relevant job boards and social media
Scheduling interviews
Performing background and reference checks on candidates
Regretting unsuccessful candidates
ONBOARDING/OFFBOARDING
Ensuring relevant paperwork has been completed, contract drafted and given to employee, signed and filed
Ensuring new employee has all necessary equipment when the start, as well as access to both a hard and soft copy of the HR Handbook
Ensuring paperwork is completely for exiting employees
Conduct exit interviews as and when required
EMPLOYEE DATA
Maintaining and updating employee records and databases
Generating reports monthly, such as new hires, resignations/terminations etc
EMPLOYEE LIAISON
First line support in handling employee queries, and identifying more serious conflict and disciplinary matters that need to be referred to the HR Manager
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
Maintaining training records
Assist in co-ordinating training sessions
PAYROLL SUPPORT
Collaborating with the payroll department to handle queries, referring complex matters to HR manager
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
General administration support to HR department such as maintaining filing systems, taking minutes, scheduling meetings, responding to enquiries
Updating Organograms
COMMUNICATIONS
Assist with the dissemination of HR related communications
Communicate regularly with the branches outside of Cape Town, to establish any HR matters requiring attention, and ensure all correct processes are being followed in terms of HR matters
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 or equivalent. Alternatively, individuals will be given Recognition for Prior Learning if they are not in possession of a Matric certificate.
Completed 3 year HR qualification, or studying towards an HR qualification
Previous administration experience
Previous HR experience advantageous
Knowledge of relevant HR labour legislation
