Position: Junior Draughtsman – City Deep
Location: Gauteng
Minimum requirements for the role:
Must have Matric.
NQF Level 4 Drawing Office Practice essential.
Minimum 3 years working experience in similar position.
Must be proficient in Solidworks and Microsoft Office.
Be able to read, supply and interpret technical details from drawings.
Be able to make appropriate decisions while following the company’s organisational structure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Taking full responsibility of drawings and projects assigned.
Ensuring that all drawings are produced in compliance with the programs, procedures, and policies of the organisation.
Producing drawings in such a way as required to assure processes and standards are met.
Ensuring good communication is given, either verbally or written to all members of staff in regard to drawings.
Working with relevant parties on non-conformances and make corrections as necessary.
Assisting with quality targets, smooth running of the production processes.
Partaking in Company policies and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) through the ISO system.
Minimizing waste and cost and ensuring conformance to safety and quality.
Taking responsibility in area of influence of the quality and product that is produced in line with the company’s quality systems, processes, and procedures.
Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to assist in identifying root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand.
Taking an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company.
Maintaining housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace using 5S and ISO.
Partaking in stocktake when required.
Conducting any reasonable duties assigned by the Draughtsman / Factory Manager.
