Job Description:
An established construction company in Durbanville is seeking a
Junior Draughtsman
to join their design team. This role is ideal for a skilled draughts person or a young professional eager to grow in the building industry.
Important:
Own transport is a must, as there is no public transport in the area.
Working hours:
Mon–Thurs 07:00–17:30, Fri 07:00–15:00
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed construction and layout drawings (beams, slabs, stairs)
Liaise with clients and engineers for approvals and design clarifications
Compile bending schedules and assist with steel ordering
Use Floor
CAD and AutoCAD to capture and verify designs
Track production and installation timelines, flagging delays early
Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
5 years’ experience preferred, but training offered to promising juniors
Strong communication, accuracy, and attention to detail
Ability to perform under pressure
Must have own reliable transport
