As a Junior Draughtsman, the mission is to support the Head of Design in the development and implementation of engineering solutions while gaining valuable experience and expertise in the field. Responsibilities
As the Junior Draughtsman your duties require you to perform the following activities:
Design Assistance:
Provide support to the Head of Design in the design and development of engineering solutions, assisting with tasks such as drafting, modeling, and analysis.
Project Coordination:
Assist inproject coordinationactivities, including scheduling, documentation, andcommunication, to ensure smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
Technical Learning:
Actively engage inlearning and developmentopportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge, seeking guidance from senior team members and leveraging resources to facilitateprofessional growth.
Work closely with the Head of Design and other team members to contribute ideas, solutions, and feedback, fostering acollaborativeandsupportive environmentwithin the Product Design Team.
Quality Assurance:
Participate in design reviews andquality assuranceprocesses to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and best practices, striving for accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in design work.
Create a Technical Package for a new product that is a variation of a standard existing design architecture.
Create a Technical Package for a new product that is a new product design, by definition no existing similar product exists for such a request.
Contribute to the development of a new product architecture.
Update the Technical Packages to incorporate any design changes.
Communication:
Effectively communicate any quality problems and difficulties experienced within the design process with members of your team to find solutions.
Respond positively to queries and manage all your working relationships dynamically and proactively.
Professional Development:
Continuously enhance skills and expertise through ongoinglearning and development initiatives, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to driveprofessional growthand contribute to organizational success.
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar tools is essential. Additionally, familiarity with engineering principles, drafting standards, and materials science is crucial.
