Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Developer role based in Centurion. The Junior Developer will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications that support business processes and accounting workflows. Daily responsibilities include writing and testing code, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and participating in code reviews under guidance from senior team members. The role involves supporting process automation initiatives and contributing to Business Intelligence solutions, including integrations with Microsoft Power BI. The Junior Developer will collaborate closely with business analysts and other developers to translate requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions, while continuously learning and improving their skills.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational programming skills (e.g., C#, .NET, Java, or similar modern languages) and basic knowledge of database technologies (such as SQL Server or equivalent).
- Candidates should possess skills in web or application development fundamentals, including understanding of APIs, version control tools (e.g., Git), and basic software design principles.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret business requirements, investigate issues logically, and propose practical technical solutions.
- Candidates should possess familiarity or interest in Business Intelligence and process automation tools, ideally including Microsoft Power BI and workflow automation platforms.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment, follow structured development practices, and adapt to feedback.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- An eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to acquiring new technical skills are highly beneficial.
