We are currently looking for a passionate, motivated, and fashion-forward Junior Buyer to support our buying department. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their career in retail and support the creation of our upcoming seasonal ranges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in curating product assortments in line with brand direction and customer demand.
· Development of seasonal product ranges in collaboration with the Buying Manager.
· Facilitate the product development process.
· Coordinate order placement and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
· Trend research and analysis.
· Monitor sales trends and support the team with data-driven recommendations.
· Assist in managing the Open-to-Buy (OTB) and pricing strategies.
· Provide administrative support including purchase order creation, supplier communication, and system updates.
· Liaise with stores to assist with product queries and feedback.
· Contribute to seasonal reviews and post-buy analysis.
· Maintain and update product data on buying systems.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· 1–3 years of experience in a buying or merchandise-related role, ideally within the fashion industry.
· Relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion, Buying, Retail, or a related field (preferred).
· Strong understanding of the fashion retail environment.
· Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with buying systems advantageous.
· Strong administrative, planning, and organisational skills.
· Good commercial awareness and a keen eye for fashion trends.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Willingness to learn, grow, and work in a fast-paced environment.
