About the Role

Thermo-Forming Africa (TFA), a sister company to DADO Creations and a manufacturer of high-quality acrylic bathware, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to join our team.

This role is suited to someone with a good understanding of day-to-day bookkeeping procedures who takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. You will be responsible for general bookkeeping and financial administration, working closely with the team to ensure transactions are processed accurately and records are kept up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and process daily financial transactions
  • Maintain accurate records of income and expenses
  • Process supplier invoices and customer transactions
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist with customer invoicing, statements and credit notes
  • Process and allocate payments and receipts
  • Maintain supplier and customer account information
  • Assist with monthly bookkeeping procedures and financial reports
  • Maintain accurate filing and supporting financial documentation
  • Assist with VAT-related record keeping and preparation
  • Ensure financial information is accurately captured in the accounting system
  • Assist with general finance and administrative duties as required

Minimum Requirements

Candidates should meet one of the following requirements:

  • A recognised bookkeeping, accounting or finance qualification or currently studying; or
  • A minimum of 5 years’ practical bookkeeping experience in a similar role

In addition:

  • Experience with Umbrella or similar accounting software will be advantageous
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Sound understanding of general bookkeeping and accounting procedures
  • Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-based environment will be advantageous

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and hands-on, with a practical approach to bookkeeping. You should be comfortable working in a busy SME manufacturing environment and be committed to keeping financial records accurate, organised and up to date.

  • Salary: Â±R18 000 per month, paid incrementally fortnightly.
