THE ROLE

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated actuarial science graduate who is eager to gain early exposure to pensions consulting, valuation work and broader actuarial assignments within a supportive professional environment.

A position for a Junior Actuarial Analyst is available at our Kroonstad office, driven by increasing demand for our services and the business’s future growth opportunities. The successful candidate will commence employment in January 2027, and the role includes a market-related study policy and remuneration package.

The role offers exposure to the following areas:

• Actuarial valuations of retirement funds (DB and DC)
• Individual calculations of loss of income or support (Road Accident Fund)
• Preparation of valuation reports and other documents
• Special actuarial projects and investigations
• Supporting valuators in providing service to key clients

THE REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s or honours degree in Actuarial Science
2. Good progress with the ASSA A-series exams
3. Excellent communication skills (English)
4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
