A growing international finance team is looking for a Junior Accountant to support client accounting and financial reporting. This role involves working closely with US-based finance teams and managing accounting for multiple clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries and month-end close
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with payroll and bill payments
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles with some post-article experience
- Understanding of US GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage 100 or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Nice to Have
- Experience working with international clients or startups
- Exposure to platforms such as Gusto, Bill.com, Ramp, or Brex
