JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT AT HAVEN HEALTH MANAGEMENT
Location: Port Elizabeth
Haven Health Management requires a Junior Accountant who will be based in Port Elizabeth reporting to the Manager:
Finance & Accounting.
Requirements, Experience And Qualifications/Training
SAGE Evolution accounting or Pastel Partner (recent)
2 years’ or more experience
Ability to learn industry specifics e.g.: related healthcare terminology
Computer Literacy essential (MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for, including, but not limited to the following:
All processing to trial balance
Bank related activities (All daily / month end payments and issuing of POPs)
Maintaining Daily Payments spreadsheet
Cashbook Management (Payment allocations and Bank Reconciliations)
Update Project/Capex Spend Summary on a weekly basis
Petty Cash (Manage, process all receipts and reconcile)
Processing and Balancing of inter-company transactions
Monthly Creditors Reconciliation Reviews
Assisting with Cashflow Management
Functions relating to Dormant/Inactive facilities
All processing to trial balance
Drafting, analysing and commenting on management accounts for review
Processing of month-end journals
Submission of EMP
201
Submission of VAT
201 (including calculation and reconciliation)
Preparing month end reconciliations for all Balance sheet General ledger accounts
Preparation of Audit files and liaison with external auditors
Any other function required by direct line manager
A good understanding of inter-company processing is essential
