Discover the Role
The Junior Accountant supports the team with administrative tasks, VAT calculations, VAT return filings, and minor accounting processes. They ensure proper documentation filing, assist with high-volume tasks like invoicing, and handle recurrent tax forms, under supervision of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate filing and documentation for assigned clients
Prepare VAT calculations and coordinate with third parties
File VAT returns and other tax forms
Reconcile client tax accounts weekly
Assist with high-volume transactional tasks such as invoicing
Complete basic tax or legal forms using provided templates
Support the preparation of financial statements
Extract financial data from legal documents and process entries
Meet statutory and corporate deadlines for each client, electronically filing recurrent tax forms
Assist during statutory or internal audits, handling queries and follow-ups
Draft responses to client queries
Key Requirements
Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of one year accounting experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; experience with local accounting systems is a plus
Analytical mindset with ability to follow and improve existing processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency
