Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Process Excel reports
Maintain and update accounting records and files
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Respond to inquiries from debtors, creditors, and internal teams
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (internships acceptable)
Basic understanding of accounting principles (IFRS)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Proficiencies:
Advanced experience with Excel
Familiarity with financial regulations and standards
Progress toward SAIPA- or equivalent certification is a plus
Salary: R20,000 – R25,000
