Role Overview
A fast-growing premium brand manufacturing business with expanding international operations is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their Cape Town team.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on exposure in financial controls, month-end reporting, and international operations within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts receivable and payable lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform comprehensive account and system reconciliations, resolving discrepancies proactively.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to manage collections, supplier payments, and transaction queries.
- Produce debtor ageing analysis and other financial reports to support cash flow management.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end management accounts.
- Collaborate with the Management Accountant to prepare monthly budget-to-actual and insights reports.
- Process international transactions and support work related to international tax exposure.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Accounting or BCom degree with 0–3 years finance experience.
- Experience in an accounting firm or CIMA environment is advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to handle high-volume transactions and reconciliations.
- Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting software is beneficial.
Salary:
- R18,000 – R25,000 per month
