We currently have a job opening for a journalist focusing on energy. This position involves in-depth research, reporting, and writing on key developments in the energy sector. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a difference through targeted editorial that reaches a wide professional community.
Key Responsibilities
Sector-Specific research and reporting: Investigate current news, trends, and developments affecting the energy sector within the B2B space.
Interviewing: Conduct interviews with industry professionals, including C-suite executives, stakeholders, and thought leaders for firsthand insights.
Writing and storytelling: Produce well-researched, compelling news stories and articles tailored to the publication’s audience.
Data interpretation: Analyse industry reports and technical information to create accurate, insightful content that resonates with readers.
Collaboration and teamwork: Work closely with editors and fellow writers to ensure the highest standards of journalism and editorial integrity.
Meeting deadlines: Manage your workload effectively, delivering quality work on time in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Professional experience: Demonstrated journalism or writing experience, with a portfolio of published work. Previous exposure to energy topics is highly advantageous.
Educational background: A degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Excellent command of written English and strong editing abilities
Ability to interpret data and industry reports for clear, engaging articles
Confidence in networking and building industry contacts
Strong organizational skills to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Self-motivation to produce original, high-quality reporting
Practical requirements: A valid driver’s license and vehicle, as travel may be needed for events and interviews.
