About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook), Pastel Accounting, and experience working with general ledgers. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to grow their career in finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile financial transactions in Pastel Accounting.
Maintain and update general ledger entries accurately.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
Prepare and file invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
Perform bank reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.
Generate basic financial reports using Microsoft Excel.
Ensure compliance with company policies and South African financial regulations.
Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Requirements:
Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advantageous).
Experience: 1-2 years in an accounting/admin role.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with Pastel Accounting (essential).
Knowledge of general ledger maintenance.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication, and ability to meet deadlines.
Added Advantage: Basic understanding of South African tax (VAT, EMP501, etc.).
Salary & Benefits:
Salary Range: R18,000 – R25,000 (Cost to Company, based on experience).
