Full Job Description
We are seeking to employ a highly motivated and enthusiastic IT Technician to join our IT Team. The successful candidate will provide technical support assistant to all departments, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
The job requires an individual that pays rigorous attention to detail, as the role of the IT technicianis critical to the functioning of the departments. All departments are highly dependent on the position being a competent individual with regards to Information Technology matters.
The role of the IT technician requires an individual that is diligent and hard working as the job can be strenuous at times.
The role requires an individual that is willing to learn as the work is intricate and complex at times and requires a studious individual.
The individual must be willing to work hard and show initiative in executing their daily duties.
The individual must have good inter-personal skills as job involves communication with a range of people.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
· Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
· Assist with IT asset management and inventory.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups.
· Assist in the setup and configuration of new employee workstations
· Document technical procedures and user guides.
· Assist in the setup and maintenance of network equipment.
· Collaborate with team members on IT projects and initiatives.
Requirements
· Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
· Strong troubleshooting, technical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Customer service-oriented with a proactive approach to solving issues.
Desired Experience & Qualification
· Matric
· At lease 2 – 3 years hands on experience
· Diploma in IT, would be an advantage
· Windows Server 2012/2016
· Setup of windows 10 and 11
· Good knowledge how IP PABX Works
· Basic knowledge of virtual networks
· Excellent knowledge of physical network
· Basic understanding of server and client
· Good Sage knowledge
