Exciting position at one of SA’s leading banks. We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead a team of technical subject matter experts and team leaders in achieving strategic objectives. This role requires a strong leader who can drive frontline team performance by enabling and supporting others.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
Oversee a team of technical SMEs and team leaders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
Operational & Service Delivery:
Ensure IT operations run efficiently, meeting SLAs and service quality standards.
Manage incident resolution, problem management, and continuous service improvement.
Drive adherence to IT governance, compliance, and security policies.
Strategy & Execution:
Translate business objectives into IT operational goals and ensure successful execution.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business priorities.
Risk & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to ITIL, COBIT, or other relevant frameworks.
Mitigate IT risks and implement best practices for security and business continuity.
Monitor and report on IT performance metrics and key deliverables.
Key Requirements
Experience:
7+ years in IT management, including experience leading technical teams.
Strong understanding of IT service management, infrastructure, and support functions.
Proven track record in delivering IT projects and operational excellence.
Skills & Competencies:
Leadership & people management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Knowledge of IT frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, Agile, etc.).
Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
ITIL, PMP, or relevant certifications advantageous.
