Management & Leadership
- Provide clear leadership and direction to the IT function, ensuring alignment with company strategy, priorities, and growth objectives.
- Take ownership of IT team structure, resource planning, and workload prioritisation to ensure efficient and scalable operations.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing IT team members, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set measurable objectives, and implement personal development plans for team members.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines within the IT team to ensure operational clarity and efficiency.
- Drive a proactive, service-oriented IT culture focused on responsiveness, reliability, and business partnership.
- Accountable for IT delivery outcomes, according to pre-determined and evolving KPIs.
- Oversee the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with business outcomes.
- Act as the primary escalation point for critical IT issues, ensuring structured resolution and stakeholder communication.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, including cost control, vendor management, and investment planning aligned to strategic priorities.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Executive, Sales, Operations, Engineering), ensuring IT solutions support business needs effectively.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve business systems, data visibility, and digital processes across the organisation.
- Establish and monitor IT governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, risk management, and adherence to company policies.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation.
- Ensure succession planning, knowledge retention, and resilience within the IT team to reduce single points of failure.
- Assure local and international branch support within work hours and after-hours standby support schedules with defined performance measures.
- Report regularly to executive management on IT performance, risks, project progress and strategic initiatives.
Network & Systems Engineering
- Maintain, configure and optimise LAN/WAN infrastructure, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches and routers.
- Ensure high‑availability and security of network services.
- Administer Microsoft Azure / Active Directory environments.
- Manage identity, access, security groups and conditional access policies.
- Oversee VoIP systems, softphone clients, mobile device management and related communication platforms.
Cloud, Applications & Endpoint Support
- Act as expert-level administrator for Windows 10/11, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365, Business Central, and cloud services such as Google Workspace.
- Provide escalated support and act as the senior technical escalation point.
- Ensure configuration and deployment of end-user devices, cybersecurity monitoring, and patching.
Business Systems Analysis & Internal Systems
- Conduct ongoing audit, mapping and documentation of internal systems and workflows.
- Analyse cross‑departmental processes to identify inefficiencies, risks and digital improvement opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders to design, test and implement improvements to ERP/CRM systems and integrated operational tools.
- Assist in developing system integration plans across CRM, ERP, web platforms, document repositories and identity services.
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy and compliance across all major business systems.
- Identify system vulnerabilities, operational risks and inefficiencies; create corrective actions.
- Maintain network security posture, ensure business continuity, and contribute to risk mitigation planning.
Team Enablement Mentorship & Empowerment
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance to junior IT staff and project contributors, helping them develop stronger technical and analytical capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative environment where team members feel supported, informed and confident to take ownership of tasks.
- Lead by example through strong documentation habits, structured problem‑solving and proactive communication.
- Mentor colleagues in adopting best practices across networking, security, cloud services and business systems.
- Facilitate knowledge‑sharing sessions, tool demonstrations and hands‑on coaching to uplift IT maturity across the organisation.
- Support cross‑departmental teams in understanding system behaviours, dependencies and constraints, enabling them to work more effectively with IT.
- Encourage continuous learning by identifying relevant training, upskilling opportunities and new technologies for the broader team.
- Promote accountability, clear prioritisation and disciplined execution in all IT‑related workstreams.
Policy Development, Implementation & Compliance
- Assist in developing, maintaining and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and standards covering areas such as network security, data protection, acceptable use, system access, backup, and incident response.
- Ensure alignment of governance controls with business strategy and IT system architecture, supporting the organisation’s risk management objectives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, permissions, architectures, and processes to ensure audit readiness and operational transparency.
Risk, Security & Control Management
- Monitor and report on IT and network-related risks, vulnerabilities, and non-compliance issues.
- Support implementation of internal controls for data integrity, system reliability, business continuity, and cybersecurity.
- Participate in internal and external audits, contributing to evidence gathering, remediation planning, and compliance improvement actions.
- Implement Security enhancements and optimisation to assure the company systems integrity.
Change, Configuration, Data & User Access Governance
- Enforce disciplined change‑management practices for system updates, configuration changes, integrations, and new deployments.
- Maintain revision control, configuration logs, and structured documentation of system modifications.
- Ensure proper lifecycle management of user accounts, permissions and role-based access across Microsoft Entra/Active Directory, cloud systems, and business applications.
- Regularly review access rights, system roles and privilege levels for compliance, segregation of duties and security best practices.
- Support data quality initiatives by ensuring consistency, accuracy and integrity across ERP, CRM, document management and operational systems.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure data standards and retention policies are adhered to.
- Provide structured reporting to IT leadership and relevant executives on compliance status, risks, incidents, policy improvements and system governance metrics.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making by highlighting governance gaps and recommending process or policy improvements.
Senior Technical Support including Desktop
- Expert level administrator in Microsoft Windows (10, 11), all Office 365 applications, SharePoint, Dynamics, BC, Teams, Loop, Co-Pilot as well as Google Drive configuration, Google Workspace operations, VoIP, and soft phones clients for mobile and desktop.
- Configure and manage accounts and permissions on Microsoft Active Directory / Azure / Entra.
- Assist and manage the Remote users and configuration required to connect to Poynting Clouds.
- Remote desktop support (Team Viewer, Remote PC) as required.
- Validate and configure VPN and SD WAN migration access for all remote technical users as required.
- Provide training on hardware and software usage of systems to employees along with other systems as required.
- Support the maintenance and configuration of various Printers and Scanners as well as manage printer vendors’ performance and support.
- Experience in managing IT and Software project rollouts.
- Expert using Mimecast, Sophos firewalls and Anti-Virus software, Pulseway and IP related systems such as CCTV and Enterprise mesh Wi-Fi.
- Expert troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity (IPv4, IPv6, Fibre).
- Manage, install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and other devices.
- Manage user accounts and access to various IT systems and technologies.
- Assist the IT ME with the implementation of new technologies related to IT systems and Software Services.
- Create and maintain documentation related to technical support procedures and best practices.
- Assist with and/or manage technical upgrading and maintenance of entire desktop, laptop, and server systems.
- Troubleshoot and configure E-mail technologies and mobile device management.
- Manage, configure, support, maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN, VoIP telephone, and biometric systems.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software as well as Cloud services.
- Update and maintain the computer inventory and equipment.
- IT procurement and associated documentation and processes.
- Experience in Linux / Windows server builds (physical and virtual), IP redirects and configuration.
- Manage, maintain, and support IT backup systems such as UPS and Inverter management.
- Manage and set up an IT workshop.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc in IT Network Engineering, IT Systems or similar,
- COMPTIA A+ Hardware, Software, Network required, MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) required.
- Systems Analysis and/or business systems (e.g. CRM, ERP, etc.) deployment experience highly advantageous.
- 8–12 years, with 3–5 years in a Leadership or Management role

- Ability to deal with all levels of client personnel (internal and external)
