We are seeking an IT Field Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support across client sites.
This is a 12 month contract with potential to extend
The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining end-user hardware and software (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals), while troubleshooting IT issues related to systems, networks, and applications.
You will ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within SLAs, minimizing downtime and disruption.
Key responsibilities include performing routine system checks, supporting ITSM processes (incident, problem, and change management), and coordinating with remote support teams to resolve complex issues.
The role also covers deployment activities such as hardware rollouts, upgrades, and migrations, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and asset records.
You will proactively monitor systems, ensure compliance with IT and security standards, liaise with vendors for escalations, and contribute to continuous service improvement. Basic end-user training and support will also be part of the role to enhance user productivity.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Strong desktop support and troubleshooting experience (Windows/Mac)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and IT hardware
- Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management)
- Familiarity with remote and hybrid support environments
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in field-based environments
- Valid driver’s license (if travel is required)
