Job Description & Summary

At PwC, audit and assurance professionals provide independent, objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information. In IT audit we assess and evaluate the design and effectiveness of an organisation’s IT systems and controls to ensure compliance with regulations and mitigate risks.

Management LevelResponsibilities

  • Lead client‑facing engagements with global teams and international clients, focusing on IT General Controls, Business Process Auditing, Third‑Party Risk, SOC 1 and SOC 2 reporting, and security assessments of cloud platforms.
  • Plan, execute, and review assessments of IT risks and controls for internal and external audit and advisory engagements.
  • Develop risk and control matrices, review procedures, and advise on business‑process controls.
  • Conduct fieldwork: technical testing, interview stakeholders, write reports, and communicate findings.
  • Manage project aspects: timelines, budgets, status reporting, and profitability.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff and lead field engagement teams.
  • Identify business‑development opportunities and support proposal development.
  • Advise client leadership on the design and operational effectiveness of IT controls and strategic technology risks.
  • Prepare documentation such as control matrices, process narratives, and data flows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in IT audit, IT risk and controls, IT compliance, or related work.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading and managing IT General Controls review assignments.
  • Proven experience managing complex IT audit engagements (IAC, research, analytics) in financial services.
  • Experience with SOC report readiness and attestation (SOC 1, SOC 2) and other frameworks (COSO, COBIT, ITIL, ISO).
  • Strong knowledge of IT general controls and application controls.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and convey technical information to all audiences.

Desirable Certifications

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Cloud or cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CDPSE, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Working knowledge of project‑management frameworks (Waterfall, Scrum).
  • Understanding of information‑security protocols and regulations (NIST, SOX, SOC, ISO, PCI, HIPAA, GLBA).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, database administration, software development, and networking.
  • Basic scripting experience (Oracle, Windows, Linux, SQL).
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (cloud, RPA, AI).
  • Financial and accounting practices and data‑analytics tools.
