Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic team and deliver exceptional irrigation solutions for a variety of landscaping projects. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and landscape health. Your expertise will help clients achieve lush, healthy landscapes while promoting sustainable water management practices. Responsibilities
- Install new irrigation systems, including automated control systems, ensuring precise placement and functionality according to project specifications.
- Conduct routine irrigation system maintenance to optimize performance and prevent malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation equipment and systems, diagnosing issues related to electrical components, valves, pumps, and controllers.
- Perform excavation work as needed for system installation or repair projects, utilizing hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation solutions seamlessly with landscape design and soil science principles.
- Manage irrigation systems effectively by adjusting settings, programming controllers, and ensuring proper coverage for lawns and planting beds.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system operations, maintenance procedures, and addressing client concerns professionally.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of irrigation equipment, electrical diagnostics, and system troubleshooting techniques.
- Proven experience with new irrigation system installation projects from start to finish.
- Knowledge of landscaping principles and soil science relevant to irrigation planning and water management.
- Skilled in excavation work using hand tools and power tools for underground piping and system setup.
- Familiarity with automated irrigation control systems and their programming for efficient watering schedules.
- Ability to perform irrigation maintenance tasks including system repairs, component replacements, and seasonal adjustments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
