Overview
Our client in the aluminium windows and doors hardware industry is looking for an Internal Salesperson to join their team in Brackenfell, Cape Town.
Responsibilities
- Sales
- Represent the administrative sales engine for all sales activities, including quoting, invoicing, and credit notes
- Understand the customer’s business and needs
- Grow customer count, basket size, spend and gross profit percentage
- Stock
- Emphasize selling stock on shelf
- Consistently reduce excess stock in a deliberate and commercially astute manner
- Market Intel
- Translate market intelligence into deliberate tactics to maximise market share, sustainability and profitability
- Implement clear fabricator vs distributor strategies
- Provide product knowledge leadership
- Know-your-customer (KYC) to enhance the customer’s business
- People
- Act as an active custodian of the company’s core values in daily activities
- Provide clear and consistent feedback to the line manager
- Engage productively with the assigned Business Developer to ensure collaboration and customer service excellence, including customer walk-ins
- Administration
- Manage age analysis and customer account status before processing orders
- Adhere to all operating processes
- Consistently manage Outstanding Sales Order Reports
- Active stock management
Requirements
- A consistent and high degree of enthusiasm for the role and environment; an energy creator
- Has progressed beyond order-taking to become an order maker, with the ability to develop and implement clear, specific, commercially astute tactics
- Excellent engagement style with people both internally and externally; able to read the room
- Professional administration capability: accurate, speedy, diligent
- Excellent numerical proficiency – turnover, gross profit, profit margins, targets, and the ability to translate these into tangible tactics
