Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, producing detailed drawings, and coordinating project deliverables from initial brief through to completion. Day-to-day tasks include space planning, selecting finishes and materials, preparing presentations, collaborating with architects and contractors, and overseeing FF&E specifications and installation. The role also involves meeting with clients to understand requirements, presenting design proposals, and ensuring that projects align with budget, timeline, and quality standards. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Pretoria, with a combination of in-office collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning to create functional, visually compelling environments.
- Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings to coordinate effectively with project teams and contractors.
- Experience with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and procurement.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a portfolio demonstrating completed interior design projects.
