Job Description:
XPERIENCEMAKERS is a Cape Town based design studio. We are looking for a professional, organised and self-motivated Mid-level Interior Designer | Project Co-Ordinator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial & residential design.
This full-time position will be suited to a qualified Interior | Architectural Designer with exceptional skills in spatial flow, technical detailing, 3D modelling, site co-ordination and a “can do” attitude with a passion for all things design.
Candidate must be good at multi-tasking, working systematically, energetic, eager to learn, cheerful, and also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The Designer will contribute to the success of the firm by assisting with all aspects of design development, sourcing, meeting preparation, technical drawings, and maintaining sample library. Candidate should be able to work within existing systems and help create new systems for continued success. Must be adaptable and able to function with many moving parts.
Requirements:
Degree in interior design, design school or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of commercial & residential design experience
Proficient in AutoCAD – ability to develop floor plans and elevations
Proficient Revit | Rendering skills is a must
Proficiency in putting together presentations on PowerPoint
Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Project Co-ordination experience
Must be prompt and utilise strong communication skills when responding to emails
Proficient at obtaining pricing, reserves, also must have knowledge of other trade resources &vendors
Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor | window coverings, materials & finishes
Experience with quotes, proposals, budgets, purchase orders & purchasing process
Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and is eager to learn and grow with firm
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Must have valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable vehicle
Have a positive, friendly, professional attitude and a good sense of humour.
Experience in the interior design industry with traceable references
Salary dependent on experience.
